Learn the Alexander Technique

Lessons address posture related pain, musculoskeletal imbalances, breathing issues and help modify stress reactions.

What is in a lesson?

The private lesson

Your daily activities and how you do them provide the perfect backdrop for your lessons. They are directly linked to how much energy you have during the day and how you feel at the end of your day. They also shape the way you approach learning and refining activities requiring more complex coordination such as playing a musical instrument, golfing, horseback riding or handling fine tools and navigating challenging work positions without pain.

Through A.T.’s guiding principles, simple activities including the Constructive Rest Position, you will learn to pause, consider and prevent faulty postural habits and behaviors. You will be able carry out all of your activities with less physical effort. You won’t have to learn something new. You will learn to do what is familiar in a new, more enjoyable and powerful way.

Group lesson

While private lessons are tailored to your learning speed, group lessons are for you if you prefer to learn in a group setting and are curious about what A.T. can do for you. We keep the classes small so that you continue to have quality attention at an attractive cost. Contact Francis for more information about introductory and ongoing group classes.

Personal and professional development

If you want to reconnect and upraise your relationship with yourself as well as your area of expertise (performing arts, physical therapies, sports, dentistry, psychology, etc.) It is the quickest, most transformative and cost-effective way of fully immersing yourself in the A.T. experience. This option is also ideal for anyone recovering from an injury. Contact brigitte for more information about setting up an Alexander Technique program that will serve your personal and professional needs.

Guest student

You have taken at least 10 private lessons and you would like a more intensive A.T. experience at a significantly discounted fee?

As a guest student, you will get time/work from the director and the assistant director, and from trainees able to do hands-on work. Come for two hours once or twice a week during school hours. You may stay for the remainder of the class to work by yourself and with trainees. Contact brigitte for more information.
